As you drive into this winery you maybe awe struck by the gardens leading up to the impressive building of the winery itself. This attention to detail is reflected in their wines with their philosophy of producing wines of high quality. Visiting and tasting in the ‘barrel room’ is a unique experience to be enjoyed.

PORT PHILLIP ESTATE

From humble beginnings with the cellar door located in their wine making shed, Port Phillip Estate now occupies the ‘grandest’ winery building on the Peninsula. With the building housing their cellar door/bistro, restaurant, accommodation as well as their wine making facilities this is a seriously impressive wine making operation.

MOOROODUC ESTATE

This winery specialises in the Peninsula’s two most prominent grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which they source from four local vineyards. As a result you can experience the difference that vineyard locations and wine making techniques add to the outcome of the wine. Don’t be surprised if ‘Reg’ the peacock joins you for a tasting.

BALNARRING VINEYARD

This is home of Quealy Winemakers and is a working vineyard where your wine tasting is likely to take place in their barrel room. Consequently, your host at cellar door will probably be one of the wine making staff who will give you an insight into their winemaking objectives. Feel free to roam through the winery but beware of the ‘Ginger Ninja.’

DROMANA ESTATE

Located at the beautiful historic Tuerong homestead surrounded by established gardens is Dromana Estate winery. Sit back and enjoy the extensive range of wines on tasting while soaking up the atmosphere of this historic homestead. They offer a wide selection of wine varieties and subsequently there is something on tasting to suit everyone’s palate.

PARINGA ESTATE

Originally an apple orchard, since 1985 this site has been transformed into an award-winning vineyard with a reputation for quality Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay. The awards have continued with its restaurant first receiving a coveted chef’s hat in 2014 which it continued to maintain until 2019 when it was awarded with 2 chef’s hats.

PIER 10

What began as a family’s holiday retreat, was planted out to vines in the 1990’s and is now the home of Pier 10 winery and restaurant. Let cellar door manager “cheeky” Craig pour you some bubbles or another tipple of your choice. Their selection of wines on tasting can be enjoyed from the deck looking out across the vineyard.

TUCKS

A wonderful place to relax and spend a sunny afternoon with a glass of their wine, looking out across the picturesque vine covered hillside which is one of the most photographed vineyard views on the Peninsula.
